Salford City Council
Salford City Council’s Business and Funding Team facilitates the business support network in the city, helping new and existing businesses access the full range of support available including key council services such as planning, licensing and business rates.
The team works in partnership with a range of public and private sector partners to:
• promote entrepreneurship
• encourage new business start-ups
• sustain and grow existing businesses
• attract inward investment to the city
The Business Group Salford
The Business Group Salford represents and supports local businesses and provides information and networking opportunities through meetings, seminars and events.
Services include:
• a ready made network of support and peer engagement for organisations throughout Salford
• regular programmes of events providing members with important information on key aspects of running their businesses
• focused seminars designed to cover areas where businesses will benefit from expert advice on pertinent issues they have identified
• frequent meetings which act as a forum to discuss topical issues affecting businesses in the area; these regularly include planning applications, developments, events and new opportunities
University of Salford
The University provides access to the knowledge, support and facilities of an internationally recognised institution. Services include short courses, research facilities, consultancy, bespoke training, networking, student and graduate placements.
