IMG_0038The winners of the 2013 Salford Business Awards sponsored by TalkTalk Technology were announced during last night’s ceremony at Salford City Stadium, with Kingsland Wines & Spirits being crowned large business of the year and HVPD named small business of the year.

Kingsland, who also scooped the Green Award, are the UK’s premier independent supplier of wine and spirits. They employ a largely local workforce and have seen sales surge after heavy investment in their 18 acre site at Irlam.

HVPD beat off stiff competition to bag three awards – in the small business of the year, international trade and innovation categories.

The prestigious event was attended by 350 guests who enjoyed an after-dinner speech from BBC Breakfast business correspondent Steph McGovern.
