Salford Business Awards 2025: Celebrating Excellence Across the City

Salford, UK – 23 October 2025 – The 2025 Salford Business Awards took place last night at the stunning Marriott Worsley Park Country Club, bringing together the city’s most innovative, resilient, and community-focused businesses for an evening of celebration and recognition.

Organised in partnership by the University of Salford, The Business Group, and Salford City Council, the awards shine a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of Salford’s business community. From sustainability and innovation to entrepreneurship and community impact, the event showcased the breadth of talent and dedication driving the city forward.

This year’s ceremony was hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Vicky Hawkesworth, and featured ten award categories, each recognising excellence in a different area of business.

Winner of large Business of the Year was Kidzrus Nursery who have demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, underpinned by strategic leadership and measurable community impact. Their large-scale and consistent impact makes them an outstanding example of entrepreneurial success with social purpose.

Winner of the small Business of the Year was Moss Lane Farm their approach to sustainability and climate action goes far beyond the obvious, demonstrating innovative and vital work in climate change, nature conservation, and community engagement. They exemplified what can be achieved when sustainability is central to both mission and practice, making them an inspiring benchmark for others.

Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett said “I’d like to extend my congratulations to all the finalists of the 2025 Salford Business Awards. Over the past few years, our business community has shown remarkable resilience and innovation in the face of ongoing economic challenges. It’s inspiring to see how local businesses have adapted, grown, and continued to support our city.

“These businesses are the backbone of Salford’s economy-creating jobs, driving investment, and offering opportunities that benefit our residents and the wider region. Their commitment to progress and community spirit is what makes Salford such a dynamic and forward-thinking city. I thank each and every one of them for their contribution to our shared success.”
